Heritage & method

From hortifruti roots to a structured commodity desk.

Atlanx Trade is the institutional evolution of Tropic Fruits — a Brazilian fresh-produce house with deep operational roots in the agricultural value chain. The discipline of moving perishables across borders became the foundation of a structured commodity trading desk.

2022

Tropic Fruits — the operational origin.

Established as a Brazilian agricultural trading company under the legal entity TROPIC FRUITS / RENATA BENZECRY DE ARAUJO LTDA, CNPJ 46.645.002/0001-39 — building expertise in fresh-produce sourcing, certification and reefer-container logistics.

2026

Atlanx Trade — structured commodity desk.

Rebranded operationally as Atlanx Trade and located within the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM), securing zero-ICMS fiscal advantage. RADAR Siscomex export licence active since 14 May 2026 with unlimited export value.

Structured enquiries

How we trade

A structured transaction, step by step.

Atlanx operates exclusively under documentary credit. Payment is secured by the buyer's bank before cargo movement; settlement follows presentation of compliant documents.

01

Request for Quote

You submit product, volume, destination and timeline. Atlanx responds with a firm CIF offer and the full documentary list.

02

Letter of Credit

The buyer's bank issues an Irrevocable LC at sight, freely negotiable, UCP 600, via SWIFT MT700 in favour of Atlanx Trade.

03

Sourcing & Shipment

Atlanx confirms with manufacturing partners, arranges SGS inspection at loading, and ships within the agreed window.

04

Documents & Settlement

Compliant documents are presented to the bank. The LC is settled. Cargo arrives on specification, fully documented.

ZFM advantage

A structural edge, guaranteed by Brazilian law.

Atlanx operates from the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) — a constitutionally established special economic zone overseen by SUFRAMA, the federal authority. The ZFM regime grants zero ICMS on all export operations, a structural cost advantage no Brazilian trader operating outside Amazonas can replicate.

Combined with the Atlantic-origin maritime route — outside the principal maritime conflict chokepoints — Atlanx offers a uniquely robust supply corridor for import-dependent buyers.

In commodity trading, an exposed counterparty is a lost relationship. Atlanx structures every transaction so that each party deals only with Atlanx — protecting margins, relationships and continuity for everyone involved.

Operational principleThe Atlanx confidentiality standard
Confidentiality & discipline

Discretion is a contractual standard.

Atlanx operates on a principle of total counterparty confidentiality. Suppliers are never disclosed to buyers; buyers are never disclosed to suppliers. This protects every party in the chain — and is a condition of working with us.

Counterparty identities never disclosed

Both the supplier and the buyer are protected by contractual non-circumvention clauses. No third party sees the names of the other side of the table.

Export documentation under Atlanx Trade

Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, Commercial Invoice and Packing List are all issued under Atlanx Trade as exporter of record.

Payment exclusively by Irrevocable LC at sight

UCP 600 only. No SBLC, MT103, MT760, deferred-payment DLC or any instrument outside UCP 600. No advance payments accepted, in any direction.

Strict sanctions compliance

No destinations subject to OFAC, EU or UN sanctions. Every transaction screened against international compliance frameworks before commitment.

SGS inspection at loading

Quality and quantity verified at the loading port by SGS or equivalent. Inspection certificate forms part of the LC documentary set on every shipment.

Before you enquire

Frequently asked questions.

Atlanx operates exclusively with an Irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight, freely negotiable, issued under UCP 600 by a top-tier bank in the buyer's country. We do not accept SBLC, MT103, deferred-payment DLC or any instrument outside UCP 600.
For bulk commodities, pilot shipments typically start from 1,000 MT, scaling to vessel parcels for established programmes. For fresh produce, the minimum is one 40ft reefer container. A trial shipment is recommended for any first transaction, to validate the operational and documentary chain on both sides.
